“James came to the house, offered suggestions that would give our home a nice aesthetic feel while giving us the functionality we needed. From start to finish — professional, knowledgeable, and his workmanship was impeccable.”
Common questions.
It's not required, but it's strongly recommended for significant renovations. Preconstruction helps you avoid costly surprises, align expectations with budget, and start construction with a clear, detailed plan.
It means our own crew handles all carpentry work — framing, trim, finish work, cabinetry, flooring, siding, and more. We don't subcontract the carpentry. This gives us direct quality control over the core of your renovation.
We coordinate and oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and other specialized trades through trusted professionals we've vetted. Every trade partner works under our direct supervision.
Northgrain holds AIC Professional certification (Architectural Interior Carpentry) and is a member of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). We've maintained 5-star Google reviews since founding in 2019.
Better together.
The best renovations start with Preconstruction and move into General Contracting — planning and building with the same team. Not sure which you need? That's what our initial conversation is for.
