Cape Master Renovation
A dated Cape Cod second floor — completely reimagined.
This Willoughby Cape Cod had a second floor that hadn't been touched in decades — worn carpet, linoleum flooring, outdated trim, and a narrow carpeted staircase with no railing. Northgrain gutted the entire second floor and rebuilt it from the subfloor up. The staircase was completely reconstructed with custom poplar treads, white painted risers, and a poplar-capped railing with iron spindles. New LVP flooring runs throughout the hallway and bedroom, with new shaker-style doors, matte black hardware, recessed lighting, and a Lutron smart dimmer system. Downstairs received new paint, LED lighting, and a wooden pine tongue-and-groove v-board ceiling.
